Norma Hickman-Ledbetter

January 18, 1944 — January 20, 2016

Norma Lee Hickman-Ledbetter was born on January 18th, 1944, in Washington County, Missouri, and passed away on January 19th, 2016, in Jefferson County, Missouri, at the age of 72 years and 1 day. She is now healed of all worries and all pain, and has been reunited with those who preceded her in death: her husband, Vernon Gene Ledbetter, her parents, Leonard Elmer Hickman, Rosa Thelma Fox Hickman Mosier, and John Shirley Mosier, her Uncle Luchen Moore and Aunt Ethel (Fox) Moore.

She is survived by five children, Bobby Joe Miller, Jr., Cheryl Lynn (& Bill) Howell, Deborah Leigh (& Steve) Wilson, Sean Patrick Hickman, Sr. (& fiancé, Gina Zack), and Jace Chandler Hickman (& Jennifer Hickman); seven grandchildren, Bobby Joe Miller, III (& Crystal), Cody Wyatt James Miller, Michael James Jerden, Jocelyn Marie Wilson, Sean Patrick, II, Alexandria LeeAnn & Andrew Cole Hickman, Lillie Marie Summers, Jacob Thomas & Kylie Marie Weber, Jesse William Vogle and Jaydynlee Hazel Hickman; five great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Kayla, Hannah, Madyson and Bentley Miller; three brothers, Roy (& Rose) Hickman, Bill (& Laura) Hickman, and Terry (& Sonja) Mosier, three sisters, Milly (& Larry) Baker, Gean (& Otis) Poe, and Judy (& Jim) Forshee, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lee was a lifelong member of the Eagles, a motorcycle enthusiast, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a genuine person, with a brassy sense of humor, fierce loyalty and a “what you see is what you get” attitude.

In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her husband Vernon Gene Ledbetter; and fathers of her children: Bobby Joe Miller, Sr. and Leon Dwight Hickman.
A memorial visitation was held on Sunday, January 24, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home.
A memorial service began at 2:00 PM on Sunday, at the DeClue Memorial Chapel.
Interment held at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
