Norma Dunlap

February 7, 1927 — August 23, 2006

Jean Dunlap of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on August 23, 2006 at Washington County Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of 79 years, 6 months and 16 days. She was born on February 7, 1927 at Potosi, Missouri, a daughter of the late Michael William Litton and Edith Pearl (Williams) Litton.

She was united in marriage to Lawrence Dunlap on June 1, 1947 and to this union a daughter was born. They enjoyed over fifty-nine years of marriage together. Jean was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Potosi. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Litton.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Dunlap of Potosi; her daughter Vickie Hatfield and husband Ken of Farmington; three sisters-in-law, Glendola Litton of Potosi, Neoma Johnson and husband E.L. of Wentzville, Lorene Bertram and husband Fred of St. Louis; two grandsons Steve Hatfield and wife Jeannette and Mike Hatfield and wife Laurie; six great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other friends and relatives.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 11 AM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Jeff Richards officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Steve Hatfield, Mike Hatfield, Tyler Hatfield, Justin Litton, Marty Boyer and Bob Reed.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
