Nicholas Melton

Nicholas Paul Melton of Mineral Point, Missouri passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Home having reached the age of twenty two years, three months and twenty eight days. He was born on May 28, 1993 in Farmington, Missouri.

Nick is survived by his parents Tabitha and Dennis Blount of Mineral Point; Nick’s biological father Charles Donald Sansoucie Jr of Cadet; two brothers Dennis Blount Jr, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Tanner Sansoucie of Potosi; two sisters Kaylee Sansoucie and Marcee Sansoucie both of Potosi; Grandparents Ricky Bourisaw and Cathy of Mineral Point; Charles Sansoucie of Cadet; aunts and uncles Serina Couch and Tom Schaffer of Arnold; John and Amanda Cook of Farmington; Bobbie and Clint Casner of Mineral Point; Ronnie “Rev” Sansoucie of Cadet; Crystal and Keith Wideman of Potosi; Jeff and Lisa Blount of Potosi; cousins Kassie, Casey, Clarice, Cody, Ethan, Breanna, Ashley, Summer, JJ, Joey and Kate, Chance and Kaimen; special friends Blake Rulo, Garrett West, Justin Jones, Janet Martin, Terry Lynn, Jamie Fitzwater and Peewee Fitzwater;; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents “Nana” Sue Bourisaw, Donald and Lelia Blount, Brenda Sansoucie and two cousins Amanda Couch and Jacob Cook.

Nick was a fun loving young man who lived life on the edge. He like to drive fast cars, motorcycles and big trucks. Nick was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He was a ladies man and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed spending time with his family and play cards. Nick was the type of person who could sell you your own shoes right off your feet! As we celebrate the life of this special man, you can have peace knowing there's another angel in heaven watching over you.

Visitation for Nick was held on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 4:30-8:00 pm and on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 10:00 am till 1:00 pm at the DeClue Funeral Home.

A funeral service was conducted on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating.

Honoring Nick by serving as his pallbearers were Dennis Blount, Jr., John Cook, Garrett West, Blake Rulo, Justin Jones, Cody Coleman, and Kaimen Hollinsworth. Honoring Nick by serving as an honorary pallbearer was Jeff Blount.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the New Diggins Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
