Nelda Blair

Nelda Mae Blair, of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on May 30, 1936, a daughter of the late David R. Jarvis and the late Bessie (Hutchings) Jarvis. Nelda went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 29, 2021, having reached the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 30 days.

On July 22, 2000 Nelda was united in marriage to Franklin Leon Blair and they shared 10 years together. Nelda was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Potosi. She Loved the Lord with all of her heart. Nelda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her two daughters: Janet Turner, Ronda Davis (husband, Curt); three grandsons: Shawn Blair (wife, Amy), Ryan McClain, and Lucas McClain (wife, Brandi); four great grandchildren; three step grandchildren: Joshua Davis (wife, Jessica), Shane Davis, Miranda Ketterer (husband, Matthew); six step great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Nelda was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Blair on October 4, 2010; son-in-law, Homer Turner; two infant siblings: Carl and Elwood; five siblings: Larna Huff, Revay O’Brien, Darwin Jarvis, Damon Jarvis and Charlotte Mason.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 11 AM until the time of her funeral service at 1 PM, held at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, MO. 63664. Pastor Jim Ainley will officiate the service.

Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery, Belgrade, MO. DeClue Funeral Home was honored to have ministered to the family and friends of Mrs. Nelda Blair.
