Neil Richards

Neil Richards of Potosi, Missouri was born on January 8, 1939 in Potosi, a son to the late Hugh Richards and the late Ruby E. (Weber) Richards. On November 25, 1989, Neil was united in marriage to Kathleen Yount at the Belgrade United Methodist Church and they shared twenty-seven years together.

Neil entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family having reached the age of seventy eight years, four months and eighteen days.

Neil will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his loving wife, Kathleen Richards of Potosi; two sons: Kristopher Hugh Richards and wife Carrie of Potosi; Jason Neil Richards and wife Tonya of Festus; two step sons: Michael Johnson and wife Heather of Mineral Point; Brad Yount and wife Cindy of Belgrade; three sisters: Pamela C. Webb of Kirkwood; Meredith Ann Dunbar of Red Bluff, California; Jennifer J. Borcherding and husband Roger of Pacific; nine grandchildren: Dylan Blaine Eye, Kameron Hugh Richards, Lindsey Taylor Yount, Nikole Elaine Johnson, Garrett Michael Johnson, Kyle David Johnson, Lacey Paige Yount, Samuel Neil Richards and Benjamin James Richards; one great granddaughter, Zyia.

In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Andrew and Annie Weber; paternal grandparents: Tom and Minnie (Cole) Richards; two brothers-in-law: Charles Webb and Robert Dunbar.

The family will receive friends at the DeClue Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday, June 1, from 9-11 a.m.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jan Dillard officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Belgrade Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements were respectfully cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
