Nathan Kevin Fortner of Bismarck, Missouri departed this life on November 30, 2010 having reached the age of twenty five years, three months and twelve days. He was born on August 18, 1985 at Farmington, Missouri a son to Paul Fortner and Mary Ann Welker Fortner.
Nathan was a loving father, son, brother and uncle. He was a loyal friend to many. He loved being with his son and family.
Nathan was preceded in death by a sister Amanda Fortner; Uncle Terry Fortner; grandpa Jim Welker; grandparents Earmel and Louise Fortner; great grandparents Leonard and Stella Ruble.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his parents Paul and Mary Fortner of Bismarck; son Cameron Fortner of Bonne Terre; grandmother Betty Welker of Park Hills; four brothers Aaron Fortner, Justin Fortner, Andy Fortner, Tyson Fortner all of Bismarck; sister Angie Eckhoff of Farmington; two nephews Levi and Bryce; one niece Hailey Anne; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Dwight Jones officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Tom Ruble, John Ruble, Bill Ruble, Ernest Liddell, Troy Fortner and Deon Robinson.
Interment and final prayers were held at Big River Cemetery, Irondale. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
