Nancy Boyer

Nancy "Polly" Pauline Dawes Boyer of Cadet, Missouri passed away on November 23, 2015 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital having reached the age of sixty years, six months, and twenty seven days. She was born on April 27, 1955 in Courtois, Missouri, a daughter to the late Jesse and Irma Leota (Blair) Dawes.

Polly is survived by her three sons: Bobby Boyer, Josh Boyer, and Brian Dawes - all of Cadet, Missouri; brothers: Jesse "Buddy" Dawes, Jr. of Caledonia, Missouri and Charles "Chuck" Dawes and wife Donna of Bismarck, Missouri; sister Betty Jellinek and husband John of Bismarck, Missouri; four grandchildren: Kalub Dawes, Levi Cobb, Timber Cobb, and Alyanna Wills; and special friends: Edna Portell and Mary Snyder.

In addition to her parents, Polly is preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bozo" Boyer; brothers Kenny, Michael, and Danny Dawes; sister Irma Dawes Bingaman; and granddaughter Christy Dawn Wills.

Polly was an attending member of the Caledonia Assembly of God for well over fifty years. Polly worked at many different businesses throughout her career, which include Dog and Suds, A & W, Brown Shoe Company, Cedar Creek Diner and S & T Transit. Polly enjoyed life. She liked playing on the computer and doing handwork. Above all, Polly loved her family most, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Visitation for Polly was held on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Funeral services for Polly were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 28, 2015, held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Carol Brown officiating.

Honoring Polly by serving as pallbearers were Brian Dawes, Billy Dawes, Danny Jellinek, Chris Dawes, Bradley Dawes, Brandon Merseal, Jeffrey Merseal and Anthony Vance.

Interment and final prayers took place at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
