Michael Wayne Scott of Farmington, Missouri departed this life on July 19, 2014 at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center having reached the age of sixty nine years, seven months and eighteen days. He was born on December 1, 1944 in Bonne Terre, Missouri a son to the late Rev. Ottis Melvin Scott and Vivane (Gibson) Scott.
On November 18, 1967, Michael was united in marriage to Nancy Jane Walker.
Michael enjoyed working on vehicles with his son. He also spent many afternoons next to a grill loaded with meat enjoying the smells, sounds and flavors of a great BBQ. He loved adventure and was excited by the thought of danger. When not getting into trouble, he liked to spend his nights watching MASH and holding his beloved dog, Petey.
Michael is survived by his wife Nancy Scott of Farmington; son Michael Scott of Doe Run; daughter Tina White of Hillsboro; brother Rick Scott and wife Debbie of Bonne Terre; two grandchildren Bekah White, Emily White; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Andrew Metz, Scott Eddings, Teren Burns, Ty Burns, Robin Parks and Brad Logan.
Interment and final prayers were held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
