Michael Rodgers

March 20, 1957 — June 30, 2014

Michael Allen Rodgers of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on June 30, 2014 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of fifty seven years, three months and ten days. He was born on March 20, 1957 in Palverdy, California a son to the late Paul Rodgers and Wanda (Gilmore) Rodgers.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Rodgers.
On December 29, 1980, Mike was united in marriage to Dorothy Trice and they shared thirty three years together.
Mike is survived by his wife Dorothy Rodgers of Belgrade, Missouri; three sons Michael Rodgers and wife Jessica of Bismarck, Jason Rodgers and fiancé Almira Vega of Belgrade, Dustin Rodgers and fiancé Shelly McCloud of Bonne Terre; three brothers Paul Rodgers and wife Nina of Rockhill, South Carolina, Malcolm Rodgers and wife Shelly of Irondale, Leslie Rodgers and wife Sandy of Madison, Alabama; three sisters Brenda Knorr and husband Mike of Fredericktown, Connie Skaggs and husband Rick of Belgrade, Loretta Moss and husband David of Doe Run; six grandchildren Gavin Rodgers, Devin Rodgers, Larry Benscooter, Aireona Rodgers, Jacob Brooks, Perswaya Brooks; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with William Millam officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Paul Brannum, Mike Rodgers, Leslie Rodgers, Malcolm Rodgers, Paul D. Rodgers and David Moss. Honorary pallbearers were Jessica Rodgers and Taylor Todgers.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Hazel Creek Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
