Michael Maness

Michael Gerard Maness of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on February 7, 1953 in Cadet, Missouri a son to the late Junior Bernard Maness and the late Marjorie Ann (Bequette) Emily. On December 31, 1993, Mike was united in marriage to Rebecca Fitzwater and they shares twenty-four years together.

Mike passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Des Peres Hospital having reached the age of sixty-five years, four months and twenty-three days.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Rebecca Maness; son, Nicholas Maness; daughter, Eliza Maness; three step-children: Tonya (Stevie) Maness, Amanda Schaefer, and Michael (Jennifer) Bourbon; eleven grandchildren: Erica, Adrian, Stephen, Jacob, Aliyah Evan, Mason, Riley, Jesse, Aaron and Tristan; eight siblings: Janice Clapp, Marsha Gibson, Marty Maness, Andrew Maness, David Maness, Julie (Patrick) McInerney, Steve (Tonya) Maness, and Patrica Swan; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by one son, Michael Maness; two siblings: Cathy Carver and Bryan Maness.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. held at the DeClue Funeral Home. Mike will receive full military honors consisting of TAPS, flag folding and presentation, and gun salute.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
