Michael Horton

Michael Dean Horton of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on November 27, 2013 at his residence having reached the age of sixty seven years, two months and eighteen days. He was born on September 9, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri.
On February 16, 1971, Michael was united in marriage to Brenda Rulo.
Michael served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Brenda Horton of Belgrade; three daughers Donna Michelle Johnson and husband Marling of Caledonia, Crystal Dawn Horton of Leasburg, Jessica Irene Mosier and husband Michael of Belgrade; two sisters Norma Armsby of Leadwood, Sandy Brule and husband Clark of Idaho; brother Garrie Horton and wife Lynne of California; brother in law Roger Gullett and wife Regina; sister in law Jeri Horton; father in law Elbert Gullett; brother in law Tommy Gullett and wife Armeda; eight grandchildren Danielle Johnson, Dakota Russell, Ariel Russell, Logan Horton, Adriana Wilson, Chloe Horton, Jasmine Johnson, Peyton Davis; two great grandchildren Eli Laird, Ethan Laird; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Michael was preceded in death by his mother Anna (Owens) Horton, brother William Horton, sister Edith Burns and mother in law Lorraine Gullett.
Michael loved his wife, children and grandchildren very much. He enjoyed each and every moment that he shared with them. Michael loved nature. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on the big rigs and helping his kids work on their cars. He even taught his kids what to say when they smashed their fingers. Michael will be deeply missed. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tommy and Cecil Davis and Paula Rinne.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Tommy Gullett officiating. Honoring Michael by serving as Pallbearers were Marling Johnson, Dakota Russell, Mike Mosier, Roger Gullett, Aaron Davis and Luchas Laird. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Danielle Johnson, Ariel Russell, Logan Horton, Adriana Wilson, Chloe Horton and Jasmine Johnson.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Horton Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
