Michael Godair

Michael Eugene Godair II of Cadet, Missouri departed this life on May 9, 2008, as the result of an auto accident, having reached the age of thirty-one years, seven months and five days. He was born on October 4, 1976 at San Diego, California, a son of Michael Eugene Godair and Barbara Ann (Casteel) Godair.

Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Makinzie Godair and father in law, William H. Nickelson.

Mike was married to Julie Nickelson on March 18, 2000 at Cadet, Missouri and was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a dear son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He touched many lives in his short journey here and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his loving and devoted wife, Julie Godair of Cadet; his daughter, Jasmine Godair of Cadet; his father, Michael Godair of North Carolina; his mother, Barbara Godair of Kennett; three sisters, Shalyne, Bronte and Heather Godair; three brothers, Zachary, Hayden and Dustin Godair; grandfather, Clarence Casteel and wife Barbara; grandmother, Billie Casteel; uncles; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Dave Godat and Rev. Aaron Saunders officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Buddy Williams, Joey Nash, Patrick Nickelson, Brian Price, Keith Willett and James Jones, II.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, where he was laid to rest next to his daughter Makinzie. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
