Melinda Dicus

October 1, 1947 — September 18, 2024

Melinda June Dicus, also known by family and friends as “Linda”, of Bismark, Missouri, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, having reached the age of 76. She was born October 10, 1947, in Pacific, Missouri, to the late Antonio and Edith (Montgomery) Bova.

Linda was united in marriage to James Walter Dicus Sr. on May 31, 1966, and together, they built a family of love and countless memories to cherish. Linda held a very special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Everyone knew that they were the “loves her life”. Linda was known for being a motherly figure to many. Linda enjoyed keeping up with the latest news, yard selling, playing Phase Ten, watching Days of Our Lives, and drinking Pepsi. In addition to her hobbies, Linda often reminisced on telling stories from her younger years while looking at older photos. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Those who live to carry on Linda’s legacy include her children: James Dicus Jr. (Tonya), Michael Dicus (Rhonda), David Dicus (Angela), Melissa Osborne (Chad), Mary Ann Dicus, Pamela Dicus (Billy Huff); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Denny Bova and Jane Blanton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her father and mother, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Sr.; son: Stephen “Wig” Dicus; great-granddaughter, Zuriahh; siblings: Mike Bova, Tony Bova, Esther Cashman, Pete Hart, Charlie Bova, Tommy Bova, and Antoinette Hall.
