Maxine Pratte-Snell of Potosi, Missouri passed away on November 11, 2015 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of seventy nine years, eight months, and fifteen days. She was born on February 27, 1936, a daughter to the late John and Fannie (Yarbrough) Minx.
Maxine was united in marriage to her first husband and father of her children, Larry Wayne Pratte, Sr., on December 28, 1962 in Shirley, MO. Following Larry’s passing Maxine later married Bill Snell at the Unity Baptist Church in Mineral Point, MO.
Maxine is survived by her husband Bill Snell of Potosi, Missouri; son Larry Pratte and wife Lisa of Farmington, Missouri; daughter Debbie Pratte of Potosi, Missouri; two brothers: Wayne Minx and wife Sharon and Tom Minx and wife Emma - both of Cadet, Missouri; and two grandchildren: Larry Pratte III and wife Kayla and Eli Pratte - both of Farmington, Missouri.
In addition to her parents, Maxine is preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Wayne Pratte; sister Anna May Minx; and five brothers: John Minks, Jr., Norman Minks, Jimmie Dale Minx, Leroy Minx, and Lindell Minx.
Maxine had several hobbies including sewing and crocheting, but all of them took a backseat to her family and especially her two grandchildren. She was extremely proud of both of them and was never shy when it came to sharing their accomplishments.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 10:00 am held at the Unity Baptist with Rev. Guy Conway officiating.
Honoring Maxine by serving as pallbearers were Larry Pratte III, Eli Pratte, Chris Warden, Leroy Minx and Jon Minx. Interment and final prayers will be held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens.
