Maurelian Cooper

Maurelian Charlotte Cooper of Belgrade, Missouri passed away on May 11, 2015 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of eighty three years, six months, and six days. She was born on November 5, 1931 a daughter to the late Abijah Sparks and Leone (Simmons) Dickey. Those who remain to mourn her passing are her three sons: Timothy Cooper and wife Donna, Mark Cooper, and Paul Cooper and wife Beth all of Belgrade, Missouri; daughter Charlotte Thompson and husband Harley of Belgrade, Missouri; sister Linda Hale of Slidell, Louisiana; three sister-in-laws: Peggy Sparks of Farmington, Missouri, Mildred Vaughn of Rusk, Texas, and Dorothy Cooper of McKinney, Texas; nine grandchildren: Zachary Sadler and wife Chelsey, Ronald MaGee, Brandon MaGee and wife Whitney, Charlotte Desiree MaGee, Joshua Kearns and wife Angela, Jordan Kearns and wife Tricia, Amber Cooper, Troy Cooper, and Mark Cooper; fourteen great-grandchildren and one coming; adopted granddaughter Nadia Aleman; and many other extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Maurelian is preceded in death by her step-father Dewey Dickey; beloved husband Troy Cooper; brother Abijah Sparks, Jr.; and two grandsons: Joshua MaGee and Caleb Cooper. Visitation for Maurelian will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Temple Missionary Baptist Church from 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM. A Home-going Service will begin on Saturday, at 1:00 PM with Rev. Tom McCanless officiating. Honoring Maurelian by serving as her pallbearers will be Zachary Sadler, Troy Cooper, Mark Cooper, Brandon MaGee, Joshua Kearns, Jordan Kearns, and Adam Nickelson. Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunlight Cemetery in Belgrade, Missouri. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
