Mary "Robin" Bourbon

Mary “Robin” Renee Bourbon of Cadet, Missouri, was born on May 21, 1950 in Cadet, Missouri, a daughter of the late Floyd and Mamie (Battreal) Bourbon. Robin passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2023, having reached the age of 73.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her son, Jason Bourbon; siblings: Regina Skaggs, Richard "Rick" Bourbon (wife, Verna), and Denise Bourbon. Also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

I addition to her parents, Robin was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Gene Skaggs.

Robin was a selfless compassionate person, always putting the needs of others before herself. Whether it was family or a stranger on the street, she was always willing to help however she was able to. Robin always saw the beauty in nature and the good in people. She was a humble, simple person who enjoyed spending time with family. Robin was a retiree from the St Louis Police Department where she served as a 911 dispatcher for several years. After retirement, she moved back home to Cadet. Robin enjoyed watching old movies. She could tell you the history of many actresses and actors. Robin enjoyed crocheting, and making blankets for the family. She also had a love for animals including her cats: Sadie Mae, Momma Cat, Stubby, and Little Bit. Most importantly, in her last days on this earth, Robin accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior receiving salvation, and is now a citizen of Heaven.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 9 a.m. until the time of her service at 11 a.m., held at DeClue Funeral Home. Sister Brook Dickinson will officiate Robin’s service. Interment and final prayers will be held at Redbud Memorial Gardens in Potosi.
