Mary Rice

Mary Ann (Cowin) Rice of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on October 14, 2013 at the Parkland Health Center having reached the age of eighty four years, eleven months and twenty five days. She was born on October 19, 1928 in Blackwell, Missouri a daughter to the late Chester Bourisaw and Louise (Boyer) Bourisaw.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her first husband Raymond Cowin, 2nd husband Charles Rice, daughter Charlotte Love, son Kenny Cowin, grandson John L. Boyer, Jr., step son Jackie Rice, step daughter Brenda Verndy, sister Judy Carter and a brother Theodore Bourisaw.
Those who remain to mourn her passing is daughter Nancy Boyer and husband John L. of Potosi, son Donald Cowin Sr. and wife Vicky of Desloge, daughter Connie Carrigan and husband John of Potosi; three sisters Verna Pratt and husband Sylvester of Crystal City, Norma Bequette of Crystal City; Rita Johnston and husband Earl of Desoto; brother Thomas Bourisaw and wife Marjorie of Festus; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. John Carrigan officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Love, Donald Cowin, Jr., Shawn-Michael Cowin, Billy Jo Boyer, Russell Lemons, Jr. and Russell Lemons, Sr.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Sunset Hills Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
