Mary Mercer

Mary Lena Mercer of Cadet, Missouri departed this life on November 28, 2005 at her residence, having reached the age of 66 years, 4 months and 13 days. She was born on July 15, 1939 at Cadet, Missouri, a daughter of the late Raymond Sansoucie and Fannie (Emily) Sansoucie.

She was a member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church at Old Mines and a lifelong resident of Cadet. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, a dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond ?Tunce? Sansoucie and Patrick Sansoucie; and her former husband John Mercer.

Those who remain to mourn her passing include her daughter Barbara Mercer of Cadet; her grand daughter, Renee Johnston of Cadet; three great-grandchildren, Nicole Tucker, Dylan Tucker and Blake Walker; a brother, Edward Sansoucie of Cadet and a sister, Thelma Govero of Tiff; special friend and care-giver, Bev Hinch; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 AM on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Chris Walker, Keith Sansoucie, Rick Govero, Mark Govero, Raymond ?Guy? Sansoucie and Vernon Bourbon.

Interment and final prayers were held at St Joseph Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
