Mary Lawson

Mary Ellen Lawson of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on February 12, 1937, in Shirley Missouri, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Marquerite (Gloroid) Emily. Mary passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, having reached the age of 86.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her children: Brenda Smith (husband, Ralph), Gary Lawson (wife, Sandy), Rhonda Thornhill; grandchildren: Robert Nelson, Alan Lawson, Emily Thornhill, Mary Lawson, Adam (Ginny) Smith; great grandchildren: Isabelle Thornhill, Piper Lawson, Wyatt Smith, and Lawson Smith; siblings: Jerry Emily (wife, Carol), Herbert Emily; sister-in-law, Carol Emily. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Abe Lawson on March 27, 2022; grandson, Dustin Skiles; brothers: Raymond Emily, Robert Emily, Donald Emily, Ben Emily, Melvin Emily; and many other dear relatives.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 11 am until the time of her service at 2 pm, held at DeClue Funeral Home.
