Mary Ella Keen of Cedar Hill, Missouri departed this life on January 12, 2009 at Des Peres Hospital having reached the age of eighty years, two months and three days. She was born on November 9, 1928, a daughter of the late William Ailshie and Reba Baker Ailshie.
Mary was a member of the St. Joachim Church. She loved spending time with family and friends, loved to travel, read, being retired and living in the country. She was a proud confirmation sponser of her grandchildren Derek and Dusty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Ted Seago, Jr., husband Donald Keen, a brother Bill Ailshie and step son Ronnie Keen.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are her daughter Reba Zerr and husband Lawrence of Cedar Hill; two step sons Donnie Keen and wife Tammy; Tommy Keen and wife Penny; step daughter Sherry Keen; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; many other relatives and friends, including her faithful companion Colie, who will sadly miss her.
Funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 10 AM at the St Joachim Church with Father Ted Piper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Gillespie, Larry Zerr, Steve Totten, Steven Totten, Jr., Derek Bremerkamp and Dustin Bremerkamp.
Interment and final prayers were held at St. Joachim Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
