Mary Maxine Coffman of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on August 18, 2009 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty one years, two months and nine days. She was born on June 9, 1928 at Ansley, Nebraska a daughter to the late Robert Gardner and Nettie (Davis) Gardner.
Maxine was a member of the First Baptist Church in Potosi.
In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Donald Coffman; son Kenny Coffman; two sisters Kathryn Curdt, Doris Gardner; three brothers Carl Gardner, Donald Gardner and Raymond Gardner.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are two grandsons Matt Coffman and wife Crystal of Potosi; Brandon Coffman of Farmington; a step granddaughter Ashley Nixon; two daughter in laws Doris Coffman of Potosi, Donna Coffman of Farmington; two great grandchildren Kenli Coffman and Kaleb Coffman; one step great grandson Blayne Nixon; three special friends Barb Portell, Reva Morgan, Hazel Sitzes; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 11 AM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Jeff Richards officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Matt Coffman, Brandon Coffman, Larry Portell, Daniel Webb, J.M. Karsh, Matt Eaton, Pat Gegg, Jerry West, Kaleb Coffman and two honorary pallbearers Burl Portell and Lawrence Dunlap.
Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
