Marvin C. "Tine" Dicus of Potosi, Missouri was born May 6, 1930 in Shirley, Missouri, a son to the late Marvin P. Dicus and the late Clara (Gibson) Dicus. Marvin passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 having reached the age of eighty-eight.
In addition to his father and mother, Marvin was preceded in death by his first wife and the love of his life, Betty Dicus; daughter-in-law, Vicky Dicus; longtime companion, Betty Thompson; five siblings: Arthur "Red" Gibson, Robert "Bob" Dicus, John "Mode" Dicus, Sally Phipps Coaley, and Florence Lawson.
Survivors include his three children: David (Gail) Dicus, Sherri DuBray, and Donald Dicus; two grandchildren: Scott (Tammy) Dicus and Jeremy Politte; four great grandchildren: Haelee Politte, Caleb, Emilee and Ethan Dicus; one great-great grandchild, Korbin Dicus.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, Missouri 63664.
A Funeral Service will follow on Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m. in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Interment and final prayers will be held at Grassy Hollow Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted into the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
