Marvin D. Chandler of Troy, Missouri departed this life on July 18, 2007, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 5 days. He was born on February 13, 1937 at Huzzah, Missouri a son of the late Levi Chandler and Dorothy (Neff) Chandler.
Marvin was united in marriage to Jeannette Kobielski and three children were born to this union. Jeannette preceded him in death on March 16, 2005. Marvin owned and operated the Auto Discount Center in St. Charles, Missouri for twenty years and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Overland Missouri.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Della Bourbon and Zeldia Godbey.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his daughters, Diana Byrd and husband David of Hammond, LA, Susan Lazalde and husband Mauricio of Troy, Carol Heinz and husband Tom of St. Peters; brothers Noel Chandler and wife Pat of St. James, Joseph Chandler of Hillsboro; sisters Lois Baraba and husband Matt of Hillsboro and Geraldine Valley of Hillsboro; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 PM on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were David Byrd, Eric Nickelson, Ryan Byrd, Mauricio Lazalde, Mauricio Lazalde Jr., Marvin Lazalde and Tom Heinz.
Interment and finale prayers were at the Shoal Creek Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri. Local arrangements were entrusted in the care of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
