Marvin Willard Francis Boyer also known by family and friends as “Bud” was born on July 25, 1945 in Old Mines, Missouri, a son to Patrick Francis Boyer and Lula Ella (Oshia) Boyer. Bud went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 27, 2022 having reached the age of 76 years, 10 months and 27 days. On March 23, 1967, Bud was united in marriage to Carrie Elaine Warren and two sons were born to his union.
Those left behind to treasure his legacy include his beloved wife of 55 years, Carrie Elaine Boyer; two sons: Marvin Wayne Boyer and wife, Rebecca; Mark James Boyer and wife, Laura; four grandchildren: Shelby Lynn Hollinsworth and husband, Gary, Lacie Gene Boyer, Carrie Ann Ford and husband, Dillon, Ruth Ann Boyer; three great grandchildren: Adilyn Sue Hollinsworth, Grayson Wayne Hollinsworth, Connor James Boyer; seven siblings: Eileen Allen, Joe Boyer and wife, Carol, Della Walz, Martha Mearseal, Virgil Boyer and wife, Debbie, Alice Noack, and Ken Boyer. Bud also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his father and mother, Bud was preceded in death by two siblings: Geneva Wright and Glenn Boyer; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Harry Wright, Emily Boyer, Daphine Boyer, Bill Allen, Shirley Boyer, Bob Walz, Jerry Mearseal and Carl Noack.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 from 11 AM to 1 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow beginning at 1 PM in the DeClue Chapel. Bro. Bill Allen and Bro. Guy Conway will officiate Bud’s service. DeClue Funeral Home was honored to have served and ministered to the family of Marvin “Bud” Boyer.
