Martin Thomas Rogers of Steelville, Missouri was born on February 10, 1977 in Belleville, Illinois, a son to Robert Rogers and Patty (Story) Rogers. On October 1, 2007, Marty was united in marriage to Kimberly Rowden and they shared nearly thirteen years together.
Marty became an Angel of Heaven on Saturday, July 18, 2020 having reached the age of forty-three years, five months and eight days.
Marty is survived by his beloved wife, Kim Rogers; seven children: Joseph Rogers, Savannah Rogers, Dedrick Ketcherside, Abby Rogers, Devin Ketcherside, Dallas Rogers and Wyatt Rogers; parents: Robert and Patty Rogers; brothers: John (Tammy) Rogers and Kaven (Samantha) Snyder; sisters: Joyce (Darren) Hilmes, Lisa Faughn and Dana (Gary) Wood; nieces and nephews: Lakota, Hailey, Tanner, Jacie, Kaelyn, Reliegh, Justin, Mitchell, Bailey, Jenna, Jeralyn, Andrew, Zachary, Christopher and Megan; great-nieces/nephews: Grantly Lynn, Macie, Sloane, Owen and Marynn; also surviving are many dear extended family and friends.
Marty was not a religious person, but he believed in God. He had many hobbies which included racing, fishing, hunting, camping, golfing and hanging with his friends. Most of all, His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family and give his boss a lot of heck. Marty worked as a farm manager in Davisville for Kreke Kreek Farms where he worked as a landscaper, machine operator, plumber, farmhand, machine mechanic, concrete, gardener, dog walker and sitter, campground host, construction worker, and Marty was the best skid steer operator around.
Marty had a huge heart and would help anyone who needed it, asked for it, or he felt deserved it. Marty’s ability to make people laugh or smile was incredible. He will be missed and deeply loved by so many.
A celebration of Life service to honor Marty will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Fraternal Oder of Eagles, beginning at 1:30 PM.
