Marlene Shepard

June 23, 1951 — November 21, 2017

Marlene Ann Shepard of Bismarck, Missouri was born on June 23, 1951 in East St. Louis, Illinois, a daughter to the late Oliver George Becker and Mary Cecial (Schmitz) Becker. On November 14, 1970, Marlene was united in marriage to Thomas Shepard and they shared forty-seven years together.

Marlene entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her family at the age of sixty-six.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Shepard of Bismarck; son, Richard (Barbara) Shepard of Herculaneum, Missouri; Victoria (Bruce) Morgan of Potosi; two brothers: Leonard (Jacqueline) Becker; Steven (Vickie) Becker; four sisters: Geraldine (James) Phelps; Carole (Ed) Shaw; Kathleen (Don) Odum; Jean (Daniel) Burch; granddaughter, Jordan Shepard; In Laws: Marty Becker, Shirley Knowles, Angie and Michael Volner, Rebecca Cain, Sandy and Dean Shelton, Randy Walton, Steve Shepard, Tim and Pam Shepard and John Shepard; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Gabrielle Ann Shepard; brothers: Ronald (Roberta) Becker; Norman Becker; sister Marianna Becker; mother-in-law: Johanna Shepard; In-laws: Nick Knowles, Dorcus Walton and Donna Kay Shepard.

The family received friends on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, Missouri 63664.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1020 West Main, Park Hills, Mo. 63601 . Father Mark Ebert will officiate.
Interment and final prayers were held in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi. Serving as Casket Bearer were: Steve Shepard, Tim Shepard, John Shepard, Caleb Shepard, Jim Griffith and Don Odum.

DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the funeral arrangements for Marlene during this time of remembrance.
