Marita Dicus

Marita Ellen Dicus of Potosi, Missouri was born on September 19, 1924 in Butts, Missouri, a daughter to the late Lonard Harvey and the late Zoie Ethel (Harmon) Harvey. On July 10, 1943, Marita was united in marriage to the late Robert Dicus and three daughters were born to this union.

Marita departed this life on November 28, 2016 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of ninety two years, two months, and nine days.

Marita is survived by her three daughters: Karen Laramore and husband Tommy of Rolla, Carol Nixon and husband Fred, Sr. of Mineral Point, and Linda Lenox and husband Tom of Jefferson City; brother, Marvin Harvey of Potosi; grandchildren: Steven Laramore, Jeff Russell, Brian Russell, Fred Nixon, Jr., Jason Coleman, Mandy Whitaker, Crystal Conway, Laura Petty, Tonya Greven, Tommy Lenox III and Seth Lenox; great grandchildren: Grace, Nora, and Paul Laramore, Valarie, Greg and Zach Russell, Blaine and Colton Nixon, Andrew, Blake, and Easton Coleman, Owen Whitaker, Hunter, Makenzie, Halle, and Kaylie Conway, Emma Willison, Logan Petty, Payton Bramel, Gregory Greven, Rylee Lenox, Tommy Lenox IV, and Pierce Lenox; sister-in-law, Verla Harvey of Potosi and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Dicus; sister, Virgie Smalley; brother, Clinton Harvey; nephew, Monroe Harvey and sister-in-law, Freedia Harvey.

Visitation for Marita will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 3, 2016, beginning at 9:00 AM.

A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday with Pastor Guy Conway officiating, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Grassy Hollow Cemetery. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the funeral arrangements for Marita during this time of remembrance.
