Marilyn Skaggs

Marilyn Faye Skaggs of Potosi, Missouri was born on November 26, 1951 in Mineral Point, Missouri a daughter to the late Paul Politte and the late Laura (Owens) Politte. On December 31, 1977, Marilyn was united in marriage to Earl “Keeter” Skaggs and they shared thirty-six years together.

Marilyn entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 24, 2017 having reached the age of sixty-five years, eight months and twenty-nine days.

Marilyn will be missed by all those who loved and knew her including her three daughters: Mindy Kennon and husband James of Potosi; Kerri Skaggs and Ryan Eye of Potosi; Lisa Marie Pasley of O’Fallon; three brothers: Donald Gibson of Farmington; Alvin Gibson of Potosi; Paul Politte and wife Marilyn of Potosi; sister, Delores Kitchell and husband Vernon of Mineral Point; four grandchildren: Kyle Pasley, Abi Kennon, Zak Kennon, Lylee Weir and Lukas Eye; one great granddaughter, Riley; also surviving are extended relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Skaggs; sisters: Karen Sue Politte and Laura Robinett; brothers: Olen Gibson, Floyd Leon Gibson, Melvin Gibson and LeeRoy Gibson; sisters-in-law: Virginia Gibson, Ruby Gibson and Lorretta Gibson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 4:30-8 p.m. and Monday, August 28, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. held from the DeClue Memorial Chapel.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens.
