Marie Christian

Marie Christian of Kennett, Missouri, formerly of Potosi, was born on September 18, 1932 in Washington County, Missouri a daughter to the late Fred Jolly and the late Pauline (Vandergriff) Jolly. On December 2, 1957, Marie was united in marriage to Claude Christian and they shared fifty-six years together.

Marie entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at her residence having reached the age of eighty-four years, nine months and four days.

Marie is survived by her five children: Michael Christian and wife Brenda of Imperial, MO.; Fred Christian and wife Janette of St. Louis; Gary Christian and wife Kelli of Manchester, MO.; Roger Christian of Kennett, MO.; Janet Christian of Kennett, MO.; also surviving are grandchildren, great grandchildren and dear friends: Don Halsted, The Johnson Family and Buck Nash.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Claude Christian; two granddaughters: Jessica Christian and Nikki Fisher; two infant great grandchildren and her dear brothers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 26, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel. Elder Leonard Compton will officiate.

Honoring Marie by serving as casket bearers will be Mike Christian, Fred Christian, Gary Christian, Roger Christian, Michael Christian and Jason Christian.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the funeral arrangements for Marie during this time of remembrance.
