Marianne Klauke

Marianne Klauke of Potosi, Missouri, departed this life on January 7, 2007 at the Washington County Memorial, Hospital, at the age of 98 years, 7 months and 10 days. She was born May 28, 1908, in Erle, Germany, a daughter of the late Vincent Topolewski and Angelika (Baczkiewcz) Topolewski.

She was united in marriage to William F. Klauke in Germany in 1932. Mr. Klauke preceded her in death in April, 1963. She was a loving and devoted wife.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marianne was preceded in death by three sisters, Johanna Shepard, Victoria Topolewski, Gertrude Topolewski; and a brother, Joseph Topolewski.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include several nieces and nephews; special friend, Henry Shumake; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Britton Chapel with Father George Galovich officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Tom Shepard, Tim Shepard, John Shepard, Mike Volner, Eric Shepard and Tyler Shepard.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery with all arrangements entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
