Margie Ann Stroupe of Farmington, Missouri was born on July 25, 1940 in Cripple Creek, Colorado, a daughter to the late John Mowry and the late Minnie (Kellstrom) Mowry. Margie entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 7, 2017 at her residence having reached the age of seventy-seven years, two months, and twelve days.
Margie will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her two sons: Eric Scott Stroupe, Sr. and Amy of Cadet, and Mark Andrew Stroupe, Sr. and wife Charla of Farmington; daughter, Sherry A. Stroupe-Stauf and husband Robert of Mineral Point; grandchildren: Beth Glore-Hamlett and Steve of Farmington, Timothy Laine Glore, Jr. of Mineral Point, Heather Stroupe and Chris of Tennessee, Mark Andrew Stroupe, Jr. and wife Melody of Joplin, and Eric Scott Stroupe II of Kentucky; Hagen, Scott Buttrey, Jr.; great-grandchildren: James Douglas Hamlett and wife Hannah, Hailey Nichole Glore, Andrew Laine Hamlett, Andrea Rose Stroupe, Roman Xavier Smith, and Phoenix Kade Smith; great-great grandson, Preston Jace Hamlett; niece, Victoria L. Menillo; nephews: James Mowry and John Mowry Jr. Also surviving are many extended family members in Michigan and Pennsylvania, a host of step-grandchildren, and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Margie is preceded in death by her brother, John Mowry, Jr.; granddaughter, Anastasia Stroupe; and the father of her children: Andrew Stroupe.
Visitation for Margie will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home, beginning at 2:30 PM. A funeral service will commence at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Don Strauser officiating.
Interment and final prayers will be held at the Lakewood Baptist Cemetery in Shirley, Missouri. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
