Margaret Vandergriff

June 13, 1941 — June 28, 2013

Margaret "Fluff" Vandergriff passed away on June 28, 2013 at the SSM St. Clair Health Center, Fenton, Missouri, having reached the age of seventy two years. She was born on June 13, 1941 in Potosi, Missouri a daughter to the late Joseph Frank Degonia and the late Lucille (Lachance) Degonia.

On December 2, 1961 Margaret was united in marriage to her love, Milford Vandergriff and they shared forty nine years together.

Margaret is survived by one son Alan Vandergriff and wife Michelle of Potosi, one daughter Annetta Slover of Terre Du Lac, one brother Raymond Degonia and wife Violet of Imperial, one sister Laura Partney and husband Leslie of Mineral Point, mother- in- law Annie Vandergriff of Mineral Point, four grandchildren Chelsey, Christopher, Megan and Madison and a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Fluff was preceded in death by her loving husband Milford Vandergriff, two sisters Loretta Barron and Cecilia Blalock, two brothers Gene Degonia and George Degonia.

Fluff was a very passionate and loving person who loved having her children and grandkids around her every minute possible. She also enjoyed family gatherings. She was employed at Georgian Gardens for 20+ years where she made many friends she enjoyed working with.

She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 11 AM at the St. James Catholic Church with Father Roger Fleming officiating. Musical selections were provided by Mrs. Rebecca Richards and the St. James Choir. Honoring Fluff as pallbearers were Alan Vandergriff, Megan Vandergriff, Christopher Slover, Chelsey Slover, Lynn Degonia and Dr. James Robart Jr.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
