Margaret Ann "Maggy" McEwen of Potosi, Missouri was born on March 1, 1950, a daughter to Hilda (Shearin) Volner and the late Howard Volner. On August 25, 1967, Maggy was united in marriage to Gerald McEwen and two children were born unto this union.
Maggy entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Mercy Hospital Jefferson having reached the age of sixty-seven years, eight months, and eighteen days.
Maggy will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her beloved husband Gerald McEwen of Potosi; two sons, Matthew McEwen and wife Laurie of Potosi, and Daniel Lee McEwen of Wentzville; mother Hilda Volner of Potosi; brother Larry Volner and wife Sandy of Palmetto, Florida; sister, Barbara Fraser of Fredericktown; four grandchildren: Kristen McEwen, Matthew Jacob McEwen, Harley McEwen, and Jonathan McEwen; and one great granddaughter, Adalynn Elizabeth Dodd. Also surviving are many extended family members and dear friends.
In addition to her father, Maggy is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Steve Fraser.
Visitation for Maggy was held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11 AM held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Ray Thurman officiating, assisted by Elder Leonard Compton. Honoring Maggy by serving as Casket Bearers were: Matthew McEwen, Bobby Province, Cody Barton, Daniel McEwen, Gerald McEwen and Larry Lee.
Interment and final prayers will be held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
