Margaret Lane

Margaret Ann Lane of Potosi, Missouri, was born on February 16, 1941 in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter of the late Elza and Maude (Schrum) Badgley. Margaret passed away on September 30, 2023, having reached the age of 82.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lisa Eye; grandson, Ryan Eye (Kerri Skaggs); great-grandchildren: Lukas Eye, Lylee Weir; siblings: Connie Roberts (husband, Calvin). Also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lane; brother, Dale Badgley; and son-in-law, Ace Eye.

Margaret was a very hard worker and worked all of her life, 2 and 3 jobs at a time—driving a school bus and managing Home Comfort Mobile Home Sales. She was the kind of person that would help anyone that was truly in need. She considered herself to be the bingo queen and enjoyed playing, even at Potosi Manor, three times a week.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 1 p.m., officiated by Elder Leonard Compton, held at DeClue Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi, where she will be laid to rest by her late husband, Richard.
