Mae Lucille Thurston of Bismarck, Missouri departed this life on August 18, 2011 at her residence having reached the age of seventy six years, ten months and twenty four days. She was born on September 25, 1934 at Potosi, Missouri a daughter to the late Amos Mayfield and Alice (King) Mayfield.
Lucille was united in marriage to John Thurston and they shared thirty four years together.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by two brothers Larry Mayfield, Jim Mayfield; sister Bonnie Mayfield; five brothers in law Willis King, Bill Nicholson, Donnie Littrell and Clarence Owens.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband John Thurston of Bismarck; four sisters Gerry King of Farmington; Peggy Nicholson of Cadet; Judy Littrell-Mathenia and husband Dan of Park Hills; Jane Owens of Bismarck; brother Robert Mayfield and wife Carolyn of St. Louis; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Noon at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Bill King, Larry Mayfield, Tim King, David King, Patrick Nicholson, Randy Mayfield.
Interment and final prayers were held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
