Lynn Merrill

Lynn Delbert Merrill of Potosi, Missouri was born on July 8, 1933 in Irondale, Missouri a son of the late Alfred Dewey Merrill and the late Grace Lucille (Mallow) Merrill. On October 4, 1952 Lynn was united in marriage to Rosemary Whitworth and they shared almost sixty-five years together.

Lynn entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of eighty-four years, one months and eleven days.

Lynn will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his beloved wife, Rosemary Merrill of Potosi; one son, Darryl Merrill and wife Shelia of Potosi; two daughters: Jeanie Merrill-Doss and husband Bob of Farmington; Tammy Skaggs and husband Scott of Potosi; brother, Neil Merrill of Irondale; two sisters: Marilyn Ferrell and husband Lester of DeSoto; Carol Wood and husband Larry Joe of Festus; six grandchildren: Janet Portell and husband Dennis, Ami Charboneau, Jennifer Tucker and husband Kris, Krista Edwards and husband Travis, Koty Lynne Merrill, Tyler Griffin and wife Breanna; nine great grandchildren: Devin, Carly, Alyson, Garrett, Emily, Jayden, Avery, Jonathon, Arlis; sister-in-law, Mamie Carol Merrill; special buddy, Luke Short; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Lynn was preceded in death by his father and mother, Alfred “Ton” Merrill and Grace Merrill; son, Brian Merrill; two brothers: Ivan Ray Robinson and Robert Merrill; two sisters-in-law: Erma Merrill and Henrietta Robinson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 4:30-9:00 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Thursday, August 24, from 9:00-11:00 a.m.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Guy Conway officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Bismarck Masonic Cemetery.
