Lucille Mosier

Lucille Gertrude Mosier of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on September 6, 2011 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of seventy seven years, three months and fifteen days. She was born on May 22, 1934 at Potosi, Missouri a daughter to the late Solomon Gibson and Flora (Beers) Gibson.

Lucille was a member of the Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church. She loved God first and foremost. She was always using her talents, which was playing the piano and singing, for the Lord.

Some of her hobbies were knitting dollies, crocheting dolls and crocheting hand towels. Mom was well known for her hand made cinnamon rolls and donuts. They were enjoyed by a lot of people.

She will be missed, but we know she is now playing and singing in full strength with the Lord.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life Norman Mosier; father of her children Shelby Brand; two sisters Gladys Jackson, Vivian Scott; brother Ivin Gibson; brother in law Melvin Scott and a granddaughter Jamie Lynn Brand.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are two sons Ronnie Brand and Kathy Bourbon of Irondale; Marty (Angie) Brand of Potosi; daughter Vicki Brand of Potosi; step son Kenny Mosier of Mineral Point; sister Noreita Gibson of California; nine grandchildren Terry Brand, Shari Brand, Danielle (Jesse) Guenther, Amber Brand, Katlyn Brand, Colten Brand, Randy Bourbon, Wayne Bourbon, Linda Gamble; four step grandchildren Wesley Mosier, Michelle Mosier, Nikkie Mosier and Kendra Mosier; eight great grandchildren Addie, Halie, Johnathan, Tiffany, Gracie, Audrianna, Zack, Juillian, Andrew; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Gary Petty and Rev. Claude Evans officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jesse Guenther, Wesley Mosier, Kevin Brand, Mike Scott, Jr., Scott Eddings and Steve Sansoucie. Honorary pallbearers were Colten Brand, Rick Scott, Ross Gamble and Tom Burns.

Interment and final prayers were held at White Oak Grove Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
