Lucille Bailey

Lucille Dorothy Bailey a/k/a Grandma Lucy of Sarasota, Florida formerly Belgrade departed this life June 3, 2010 at the Tarpon Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center having reached the age of eighty eight years, nine months and four days. She was born on August 30, 1921 at Belgrade, Missouri a daughter to the late Otis Talley and Rolla (Mason) Talley.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by three brothers Leonard Talley, Olin Talley, Edward Talley; two sisters Doris Moore, Matilda Laster and a son in law Larry Barfield.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are two daughters Peggy Schaffer and husband Bruce of St. Louis; Patsy Barfield of Sarasota, Florida; two brothers Virgil Talley and wife Yvonne of Maryland Heights; Benny Talley of Sullivan; two sisters Margaret Nipper and husband Clyde of Belgrade; Wilma Svetina and husband John of Maryland Heights; three grandchildren Michael Schaffer, Adam Schaffer, Jessica Barfield; five great grandchildren Kyle, Kayla, Sebastian, Peyton, Devon; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Bro. Chris Talley and Sister Julie Talley officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Bruce Schaffer, Joe Svetina, Bill Johnston, Mark Svetina, Dan Svetina and Eddie D. Johnston.

Interment and final prayers were held at Bennett-Bryan Cemetery, Belgrade. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
