Lucas Cain

Lucas Scott Cain of Steelville, Missouri passed away on May 8, 2015 at his residence having reached the age of thirty four years, three months, and four days. He was born on February 4, 1981 a son to Johnnie Cain and Kathy (Stuart) Eckhoff. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his two sons: Austin Lee Cain and Johnny Nelson; daughter Katlyn Rose Cain; mother Kathy Eckhoff and John Carson of Potosi, Missouri; father Johnnie Cain and wife Rose of Potosi, Missouri; five brothers: Justin Ayres and wife Breanna of Potosi, Missouri, Mark Cain and wife Debbie of Mineral Point, Missouri, Johnny Cain and wife Yuna of South Korea, Dennis Dale Eckhoff of Leadwood, Missouri, and Andy Helms of Steelville, Missouri; three sisters: Myka Ayres of Potosi, Missouri, Wendy Trokey and husband Anthony of Springfield, Missouri, and Maegan Cain of Potosi, Missouri; fiance Shannon Nugent of Steelville, Missouri; grandfather Frances Stuart of Mineral Point, Missouri; grandmother Betty Pond of Mississippi; great grandmother Lula Williamson of Mineral Point, Missouri and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Lucas is preceded in death by his grandparents: Dolores Cain, Elizabeth Toppings, and Doc Williamson; niece Carlie Eckhoff; and nephew Gage Cain. Funeral services for Lucas were held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Lynn Thebeau officiating. Honoring Lucas by serving as his pallbearers were Mark Cain, Justin Ayres, Dennis Dale Eckhoff, Frankie Kramer, Andy Helms, Johnny Nelson, and Adam Jenkins. Internment and final prayers were held at the Sunset Hills Cemetery. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
