Lowell Middleton

May 9, 1927 — December 16, 2013

Lowell Glenwood Middleton of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on December 16, 2013 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of eighty six years, seven months and seven days. He was born on May 9, 1927 in Goodland, Missouri a son to the late William Middleton and Myrna (Miller) Middleton.
In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by three brothers Louis Middleton, Elmer Middleton, Othal Middleton and a sister Beaulah Middleton.
On July 3, 1950, Lowell was united in marriage to Delta Gilliam and they shared sixty three years together.
Lowell served in the United States Navy from 1952 ~ 1955.
He was a member of the Potosi First Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife of sixty three years Delta Middleton of Mineral Point; son Bryan Middleton and wife Jeanette of Mineral Point; daughter Ellen Kelley and husband Robert of Cape Coral, Florida; brother William Middleton and wife Onedia of Desloge; sister Gladys Minx of Mineral Point; two grandchildren Jacob Middleton, Gabriel Middleton; one step granddaughter Kelsie Sofield of North Carolina; a host of other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11 AM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton and Gary Gililam officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Rob Kelley, Rolla Griggs, Steve Gilliam, Roger Johnson, Ed Gilliam and Tim Middleton.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
