Louie Everett Draper Sr. of Mineral Point, Missouri, passed away, December 1, 2006, at his residence, at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 7 days. He was born on July 24, 1942 at Bismarck, Missouri a son of Alene (Gilliam) Draper and the late Arthur E. Draper.
Louie was united in marriage to Reva Jarvis on July 3, 1958 at Potosi, Missouri and five children were born to this union. He was a Port Engineer and a Captain, working with and on the barges on the Mississippi River.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother James Draper and his father and mother in-law Curtis and Juanita Jarvis.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife Reva Draper of Mineral Point, his mother Alene Draper of Caledonia, three daughters Debbie Doss of Park Hills, Teresa Martin and husband Roy of Irondale, Renee Draper and fianc? Mike Neel of Bonne Terre; two sons Louie Draper Jr. of Mineral Point and Curtis Draper Sr. and wife Mary of Mineral Point; one brother Eddie Draper and wife Margaret of Caledonia; a sister Nancy Greenwalt and husband Roger of Caledonia; 10 grandchildren Stephanie Wells, Lucas Wells, Brianna Martin, Larissa Martin, Janessa Martin, Curtis Draper Jr., Alicia Draper, Devin Gayler, Gavin Neel and Ashlyn Neel; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at the Britton Chapel, with Rev. Carol Brown and Darrell Jones officiating. Serving as pallbearer?s were Jason Draper, Jeremy Greenwalt, Matthew Yates, Gary L. Harmon, Rodney Greenwalt and Jessie Dawes, Jr.
Interment and final prayers were at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, Caledonia, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted in the care of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
