Lonnie Kean

Lonnie Joe Kean of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on July 1, 2006 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of 48 years, 6 months and 2 days. He was born December 29, 1957 at Potosi, Missouri, a son of the late George Kean and Myrtle (Bowen) Kean.

On November 24, 1988, he was united in marriage to Denise Woods and they shared over seventeen years of marriage together. Joe, as he was known to family and friends, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosetta Cox, Mary Ann Kean and Loretta Bowling; and six brothers, Timmy Kean, Billy Kean, James Elbert Kean, Earnest Kean, Jack Revelle and Sherman Revelle.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife Denise Kean; his children, Sheila Kean of Wisconsin, Kenny Joe Woods of Potosi, Josie Kean of Potosi, Jessy Kean of Potosi, Amy Dotterweich of Potosi; four sisters, Ellen Masson and husband Linnie of Potosi, Ruth Kean of Exeter, Wanda Marler and husband Donnie of Mineral Point, and Sue Boyer of Mineral Point; five brothers, Darin Kean and fiance? Robin of Arkansas, Ted Kean and wife Deb of Cadet, Jim Kean and wife Jeri of Chillicothe, Tom Kean and wife Lillian of Carthage, James Kean of Malden; three grandchildren, Riley Waters, Dante Waters and Raven Dotterweich; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Jim Wade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Darin Kean, Kenny Woods, Dennis Sumpter, James Woods, Harvey Price, Jr., Donnie Yount, David Brian Gipson and Dennis Bowles.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
