Lonnie Juel Callahan of Potosi, Missouri was born on July 3, 1980, a son to the late Lonnie Boyd Callahan and the late Janet (Herrington) Callahan. On December 30, 2000, Lonnie was united in marriage to Crystal Canepari and they shared eighteen years together. Lonnie passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Mercy Hospital having reached thirty-eight years of age.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie B. and Janet Callahan.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Crystal Callahan; two children: Ashton Lynn Callahan and Andrew Brakefield, Riya Juel Callahan; three brothers: Timothy Callahan, Troy Callahan and Jason (Cristina) Callahan; sister, Patty (Tim) Gray; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Mark and Karen Canepari; two sisters-in-law, Andrea Reed and Tara Govro; special friends: Jeff and Phyllis Pashia; also surviving are many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at DeClue Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A funeral service to honor Lonnie was held on Thursday, May 9, 2019, beginning at 11:00 a.m., held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Wade officiating. Interment followed in the New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point.
All funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
