Lola Skaggs

Lola Marie (Rook) Skaggs of Potosi, Missouri was born on July 1, 1938 in Mineral Point, Missouri, a daughter of the late Anson Rook and the late Bertha (Vandergriff) Rook. Lola passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2019 having reached the age of eighty years, eleven months and twenty-two days.

Lola is survived by one daughter, Denise (James Sr.) Conway; four grandchildren: Danielle Spradling, Rachel Conway and Ashley Missey, Carly Conway, Samantha (Richard) Marler-Tedford; two great grandchildren: Alexander Wilkerson Jr. and Liam Marler-Tedford; five siblings: Edna Moses, Margaret (Benny) Dunn, George (Sandy) Rook, Linda (Greg) Gay, Sandy (Mitch) Tedder; special niece: Angela (John) Ruxlow; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her father and mother, Lola is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Skaggs; granddaughter, Addyson Marie Gayler; and two brothers: Glenn and Gary Rook.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 5-8 PM and Wednesday, June 26, from 9-11 AM at the DeClue Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM held at the DeClue Chapel with Pastor Bob Thurman officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted into the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
