Lisa White

May 30, 1960 — April 9, 2013

Lisa Raye (Nicholson) White of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on April 9, 2013 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of fifty two years, ten months and ten days. She was born on May 30, 1960 in Bonne Terre, Missouri a daughter to Juanita (Harbison) Nicholson and the late Dale E. Nicholson.

On August 20, 1989, Lisa was united in marriage to Timothy White and they shared twenty three years together.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband Tim White of Potosi; daughter Kim White of Potosi; mother Juanita Nicholson of Potosi; mother in law Irene White of Bonne Terre; two sisters Robin Boyer and husband Billy Joe of Potosi, Sherrie Cresswell of Potosi; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her father, Lisa was preceded in death by a sister Tammy (Nicholson) Boyer, brother in law Jimmy H. Cresswell, grandparents Lawrence and Mary Nicholson, Ozie and Minnie Harbison and father in law James White.

Lisa was a longtime member of the Potosi United Methodist Church. Lisa enjoyed life to the fullest with her daughter, husband and family. She loved to travel and watch her daughter compete in barrel racing and team roping. She enjoyed the family horses through out the years, Shadow, Buddy , Snazzy, Grady, Sport, Flash, Penny and many others as well as the family dogs Owen and Brownie. Lisa was an avid animal lover. She always said that when it was her time to go to heaven, she hoped God would let her take care of the animals.

Lisa spent every available moment with her family doing anything they could do together. She was the most devoted wife and mother imaginable. Lisa and her daughter shared an unbreakable bond. It was always said that there was an invisible umbilical cord that still connected them. Although it stretched far, it was never broken.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 1 PM at the Potosi United Methodist Church with Rev. John Ray and Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Billy Joe Boyer, Scott Bailey, Larry Cresswell, Adam Boyer, Danny Boyer and Mal Gum.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Nicholson Family Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
