Linda Sue Lawson of Farmington, Missouri was born on September 11, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Mattie Ann (Goodman) Evans. Linda went to be with Jesus on Sunday July 21, 2024 having reached the age 60 years, 10 months, and 10 days.
Linda lived a life devoted to Christ, she could often be found at church with her husband Don. Over the years both she and her husband were pastors. After their retirement they stayed extremely active in church mainly helping with children ministries or in the kitchen. Her service to the Lord was not just inside the church but in the public as well, she even sang in the gospel group The Gethsemane's for a short time. Linda and Don spent lots of time camping, they especially enjoyed camping at their private campground. Linda was an employee of Advantage Home Care of Farmington and worked in the home care business for nearly 31 years holding different positions. Anyone who knew her also would know of her fond love for Christmas.
Those left to carry on Linda’s legacy include her beloved husband, Don Lawson; one daughter, Emily Lawson; two grandchildren, Lolli and Amelia Penny; siblings, Judy Wells (husband, Wayne), Leanne Politte (husband, Kevin), and James Lake Jr.; Linda is also survived by many nieces, nephews, as well as many extended family and friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Evans; sister Debbie Lake; and grandparents EJ and Freda Atkinson.
Linda's family invites all who knew her to join them Saturday July 27, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of her Funeral Service at 1:00 pm, held at the First Baptist Church of Delassus, 4086 2nd St, Farmington, MO 643640. Her Pastor, Dr. Bill Cox and Bro. David Skaggs will be officiating her service. Interment and final prayers will follow at Annapolis Cemetery in Annapolis, Missouri.
