Linda Emily

Linda Sue Emily of Potosi, Missouri departed this life July 11, 2009 at her residence having reached the age of fifty eight years, two months and sixteen days. She was born on April 25, 1951 a daughter to Betty Ruth (Triplett) Emily and the late Mevlin Emily.

Linda belonged to the Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Public School Personnel. She cherished all the many years as a librarian at Kingston and Richwoods and treasured the many friendships she made with the teachers, students and community members.

Linda joined the Ladies Sodiaty at St. James Catholic Church. Some of her other interest were going to the Muny, spending time in her garden, tending to her flowers, writing short stories and poems and she loved her special animals Libby and Sam.

In addition to her father, Linda was preceded in death by a nephew Mark Campbell, Jr.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are her mother Betty Emily of Potosi; sisters Tammy King and husband Mike of Bonne Terre, Fay Weston and husband Mike of Potosi, Virginia Ames and husband David of Potosi, Martha Lamkemeyer and husband Jerome of St. Charles; brothers Norman Emily and wife Doris of Mount Pleasant, Michigan; Dennis Emily and wife Fran of Lake Charles, Louisiana; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi with Father Joe Welschmeyer officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Chazelle, Derrick Chazelle, Jon Peacock, Gene Lawson, Jim Helming, Norman Crumpecker, Carson Emily and Garrett Emily.

Interment and final prayers were held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
