Lila Highley

Lila Marie Highley of Webster Groves, Missouri departed this life on January 18, 2012 at the Lutheran Convalescent Home having reached the age of eighty nine years, six months and twenty nine days. She was born on June 20, 1922 at Caledonia, Missouri a daughter to the late Williard Furry and Bessie (Richards) Furry.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband Edward Highley; four brothers John Furry, Vernon Furry, Eldie Furry, Glen Furry; two sisters Mable Gibson and Muriel Akers.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her granddaughter Amy Rodgers and husband Robert of St. Clair; great grandson Robbie Rodgers; brother Calvin Furry of Park Hills; sister Rena Bishop of Bismarck; other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11 Am at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Akers, Jack Akers, Don Akers, Robert Rodgers, Robbie Rodgers and Larry Furry.

Interment and final prayers were held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
