Leoma Berniece Middleton of Desloge, Missouri departed this life July 8, 2009 at her residence having reached the age of eighty years, nine months and fifteen days. She was born on September 23, 1928 at Eye, Missouri a daughter to the late Carson Harmon and Lucy Mae (Vance) Harmon.
Leoma stood strong in her beliefs and faith and was not shy about letting you know what she believed. She was well known for her famous peanut brittle. She was a wonderful talker and if you called or knocked on her door, you had better planned on chatting for an hour or too. She was the backbone of the family. She fought and held on so people got to visit her. When anyone in the family needed her, she was there.
When Leoma could no longer physically be there, we then started depending on one of the greatest angels God has put on this earth, Beulah Niswonger.
P.S. Louis and Leoma are now happy together again in heaven. We love and miss you always and forever.
In addition to her parents, Leoma was preceded in death by her husband Louis Middleton; three sisters Laura Niswonger, Anna Mae Harmon, Bertha Harmon; three brothers Johnny Harmon, Narvel Harmon, Virgil Harmon; one step brother Donald Gibson.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are a son Paul Middleton of Desloge; seven brothers Arthur Harmon and wife Loretta of Potosi; Lindell Harmon and wife Barbara of Irondale; Herman Harmon and wife Elsie of Barnhart; Henry Harmon and wife Judy of Gumbo; Jimmy Harmon and wife Carol of Park Hills; Harold Harmon and wife Mary Ann of Potosi; Dearld Harmon of Leadwood; sister Beulah Niswonger and husband Ernest of Fenton; step sister Rosetta Skaggs of Leadwood; grandchildren Christopher McBride; Heather Middleton; Kyle Middleton; great grandchildren Brayden Steinmetz; Baily Steinmetz; Caden McBride; special friend Courtney Griffith; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
