Lenard Preston Britton of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on October 28, 1942, a son to the late Scott P. Britton and the late Ona (Gillam) Britton. On December 8, 1961, Lenard was united in marriage to Elenora Grace Britton and they shared forty-four years together.
Lenard entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 26, 2019 having reached seventy-seven years of age.
In addition to his parents, Lenard is preceded in death by his beloved wife Elenora Grace Britton (August 21, 2006); daughter, Jacklyn Britton; son, Boyd Wayn Britton; and six siblings: Ruth (Orville) Crow, Hazel (Roy) Boulch, Delphia (Les) Boulch, Earl Britton, Junior (Seline) Britton, and Cleo (Virginia) Britton.
Survivors include his four sons: Lenord Britton, Donald Britton, John Boy (Gerald) Britton, and Nary Britton (fiancé, Debbie); three daughters: Cheryl (Rick) Volner, Billie Jo (Travis) Russell, and Judy Shaw; nine siblings: Mike (Barbara) Britton, Joe (Joyce) Britton, Emma Lee Clinton, Leona Hedrick, Betty Garrison, Mima (Walter) Brickey, Jim (Susan) Britton, Bob (Janey) Britton, and Dorothy (Andle) Stevens; grandchildren: Bobbie Jo (Tim) Barnhart, Nick (Nemah) Volner, Betty Jo (Josh) Elmore, Samantha Britton, Kathryn Britton, Brandi Britton, Kenneth Waller, Lillian Skaggs, Axton Russell, Wayne Seprodi, Bessie Seprodi, Joseph Seprodi, Jordan Britton, Megan Britton, Mindy Blair and Jenny (John) Colgin; great-grandchildren: Mason, Logan, Penelope, Emma, Avah, Jaxon and Preston; sister-in-law, Jackie Britton; brother-in-law, Junior (Sharon) Boyer; and his special friend and companion, Edith Marler.
Visitation for Lenard will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at DeClue Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, December 30, 2019, beginning at 9:00 AM.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 30, 2019, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Thurman officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at Calvary Cemetery following the service.
